Easter 2011

Easter morning began early, like every other morning in the Pasillas household.  If our boys are anything, one thing they are surely NOT is sleeper-in-ers!!  I'm sure they got up before dawn, but thankfully, the Easter Bunny knows this and was prepared.
After I was awake enough, I decided to send them on their discovery mission!  There was a 'noise' on the porch that I insisted they check out.  Caleb faithfully did and quickly called Levi over to 'SEE WHAT THE EASTER BUNNY LEFT!!"
Checking the 'noise' on the porch
They alerted Daddy and we all went outside to check it out.  They were so excited to see baskets full of candy and a bunny cake that the Easter Bunny had prepared especially for them.

It was precious to see the joy and excitement on their faces.  You should notice that in none of the pictures is Caleb eating any of his candy.  This was for the sad fact that two days earlier I had given him the candy-cutoff, only to find him under the table, ravenously consuming ALL of the candy left from his daycare Easter party as I was on the phone getting a prescription for sicky Levi!  I felt bad saying no candy for the weekend because of his disobedience and wondered, frankly, if I could follow through once I said it!  Nevertheless, I stuck to my guns and Caleb was great about it.  No candy all weekend, and not even on Easter.  As he pulled all the pieces out of his basket, he would say, "Ooh, Mommy look!  This one is so yummy, but I'm not going to eat it because I wasn't a good listener."
Levi on the other hand, dug right in to his candy... chocolate bunny, peeps, and all!

After church and naptime we headed over to Annie Becky's for a yummy late lunch, homemade, and the annual egg hunt!
Caleb enjoyed looking
everywhere for eggs
Jacob is such a sweet cousin.
He was sharing lots
of eggs with Caleb.

Levi was a good hunter this year
He thoroughly enjoyed himself!

Then it was time for Easter Pictures!! I think we got some AWESOME ones, if I might say so myself!  I love these goofy boys and it is so much fun to see them interact with Mollie!  She is getting so big!  She is adorable and more and more interactive every day!  They love her sooo much! I can only hope this is a foreshadow of days to come with their little sister.

And to end the day... Kite flying!  I'm not sure who was having more fun, the little boys or the big boys!

We continue to look at these precious boys and feel
Blessed beyond Measure!!

The sweetness of brothers!

This is the beginning of what I hope to make a semi-consistent attempt at blogging... I love the idea of telling our story, having all our experiences collected in one place.  It seems like a great way to look back on things.  I just hope that I can find some consistent time to put it all down here!

So, let me begin...
Yesterday, the boys and I took a little time to play out front.  And, of course, I brought my camera!  I love to take pictures of my boys more than anything else... I have thousands of pictures of them.  Most of them just sit on my computer just waiting to be looked at, and someday put into some form of album or scrapbook.  BUT, considering that I hardly even have time to write a post like this one, who knows when that will ever happen!  Nevertheless, its pictures like these that make me want to get giant sized prints and cover every possible surface of my walls with these sweet faces!  My favorite part about them is that the sweetness is genuine.  My boys LOVE each other!  It will be so interesting when Sister joins us, but considering their current level of sweetness, I'm sure she will be smothered with love by her brothers.  I am so thankful for my boys, their gentleness, sweetness, and love.  The more I think about it, I guess I have to admit that God knew exactly what he was doing adding a girl to this pair of boys.  We are blessed beyond measure...
